A Mora-loving merchant is not unseen in Genshin Impact. Players would have met Ningguang at this point, the woman whose wealth is unsurpassed in all of Teyvat. In Sumeru, they have their own version of Ningguang called Dori.

Like Ningguang, Dori also has her own palace. However, unlike the Tianquan whose Jade Palace floats over Liyue, Dori’s castle is on the ground, the Palace of Alcazarzaray. Apart from a similar abode and love for Mora, though, the two don’t really share much more similarities. For instance, instead of a DPS in Genshin Impact, Dori is far more supportive on the battlefield.

Is It Worth Pulling For Dori In Genshin Impact?

If players didn’t manage to get Kuki Shinobu yet, then, yes, Dori is worth pulling for. Both characters are Electro healers that can replace each other. Other than that, here are a few things players should know before pulling for Dori.

Dori VS Kuki Shinobu

Shortly, here are the similarities and differences between Dori and Kuki Shinobu.

  1. Electro Healer
  2. Decent Electro application

  1. Dori heals via her Burst, and Kuki heals via Skill
  2. Kuki has a better Electro application and better AoE
  3. Dori regenerates Energy through her Burst, Kuki doesn’t
  4. Dori’s Burst demand 80 Energy, and Kuki’s requires 60
  5. Kuki can use any artifact Dori uses, but Dori can’t work with 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith

Dori Is A Slow Healer But She’s Also A Great Battery

Dori heals every 2s in her 12s-duration Elemental Burst. This means in total, players will get to enjoy six instances of healing from Dori in Genshin Impact. Her healing is decent when built as a dedicated healer, but at times, 2s healing can feel quite long. Luckily, though, Dori makes her ultimate worth it as she also regenerates Energy every 2s. At level 10, she grants 2.5 Energy to the active character, resulting in a total of 15 Energy.

Dori Can Be Built In Various Ways

Dori in Genshin Impact may not be able to buff the team the way Kuki does with 4pc Tenacity of the Millelith, but players can still build her in different ways. Dori can either be a:

  • Dedicated healer
  • Buff or debuff support – Dori can use 4pc Noblesse Oblige, 4pc Deepwood Memories, or 4pc Instructor
  • Aggravate damage dealer
  • The trigger for transformative reactions (Hyperbloom, Electro-Charged, or Overloaded)

Dori’s Weakness And Strength

Although Dori has proven herself to be decent, there are some qualities players should understand about Dori.

  1. Dori is both a healer and Genshin Impact Battery
  2. Dori cleanses via her Elemental Burst
  3. Elemental Burst provides a decent Electro application
  4. There are plenty of options for Dori’s best build

  1. Dori demands a lot of Energy for her Burst
  2. Elemental Skill is barely useful outside Aggravate team
  3. Dori’s Constellations are barely useful outside Aggravate team

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
